Medicare Drug Compare is a personal drug savings report based on your Medicare plan. This report may help you save on your drug costs during the year and especially during the Medicare Coverage Gap or Doughnut Hole.

You can view your Drug Savings Report in 4 easy steps:

Find Your Plan – enter your zip code and select your Medicare Plan from the list of plans.
Enter Your Drugs – enter your drugs, including quantity and dosage.
See Estimated Drug Costs – view a copy of your report online. We will also ask you to provide your e-mail address so we can email a copy of your report for future reference.
Options – compare the lower cost drugs for each of your current medications and consult with your doctor and/or pharmacy about switching safely.

This formulary is the entire list of Part D drugs covered by UCare for Seniors Standard D (HMO-POS), UCare for Seniors Value Plus (HMO-POS) and UCare for Seniors Classic (HMO-POS). UCare will generally cover the drugs listed in the formulary as long as the drug is medically necessary, the prescription is filled at a UCare network pharmacy, and other plan rules are followed.

UCare covers both brand name and generic drugs. Generic drugs have the same active-ingredient formula as a brand name drug. Generic drugs usually cost less than brand name drugs and are rated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to be as safe and effective as brand name drugs. The formulary may change during the year. Some drugs may be covered under Medicare Part B or D depending upon the circumstances. Information may need to be submitted describing the use and setting of the drug to make the determination.
